The discussion around AI is still framed as efficiency.
That framing is already outdated.

What is happening instead is more fundamental:
– AI is exposing which parts of the system are essential and which are sustained by coordination, signalling, and inertia.

The result is not immediate disruption, it is gradual erosion of justification.

For corporates, this has three direct consequences:
1. cost bases detach from real value
2. capability moves outside formal structures
3. operational risk increases as friction disappears
